Linux Mint 18.1 Serena

Hello Smart consumers, today I will be writing a post about Linux Mint 18.1 Serena, as the title suggests. First off,  Linux Mint is based on Debian and Ubuntu. Secondly, Linux Mint is a stable and reliable operating system for Linux Beginners or just general Linux users. The main things I like about Linux Mint has to be the Update-Manger and the layout of Linux Mint. (Note: I am using the Cinnamon desktop environment). The update manager on LM is basically the only Operating System I have ever used  that has made updating the packages and the software on LM in general so easy. Anyways, LM is a great alternative to Windows, because it looks very similar and is very easy to update(not to mention its free). Now I don’t want to get into an argument about Windows vs Linux or anything but Linux happens to be more secure do to the way it handles privileges and its tech savvy user base. I will not leave out the fact that Windows has a lot more users than all Linux Distros ( Different Distributions of Linux) combined, which could contribute to a huge factor dealing with virus’es. Anyways, the layout of LM is very similar to Windows and is a great alternative.
